Carmi – Sviva Israel

Carmi Wisemon is Executive Director of Sviva Israel, a social environmental organization that activates Israelis to take responsibility for the environment and fosters a sense of concern for others by building a caring community based on principles of sustainable development from a Jewish perspective. A graduate of the Meretz Kollel, he received smicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and an MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. He is the editor of the annual journal of “The Environment in Jewish Thought and Law”.
